Money in Perfect World

Hello dear perfect world users! Welcome to the world of money, even if this is the Perfect World, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer so learning the money making mechanics is important.

Lets start with some common knowledge.

 There are 2 type of money in perfect world:

1. Coins.

They drop from mobs, from quest rewards, from NPCs from selling equipment, DQs, 10 milion big notes etc…You need these to buy consumables and to buy gold from the boutiq.

2. Gold.

You get gold by charging Zen or buying it from the Auction House. The division of gold is as following: 1 Gold = 100 Silver= 1000 Bronze. The boutiq only uses the silver division.

Even if in the past, Pan Gu has tempered with the fabric of time, allowing us to go back and forth in time, the golden rule still stands: TIME IS MONEY.

That being said, you need either much time to spend ingame, farming, leveling, merchanting or you need alot of money to compensate for that time in order to be able to have access to ELITE GEAR.

There are many guides, tips and tricks of how to get money fast in PWI but I will just point out a couple of the most efficient and current to the stage of the game that we are at the moment.

Here they are:

1. Charging Zen.

Yes, many of you are against it, you want to keep this game 100% FTP, but there are many players who want to reach their goals faster, who want access to the higher tier weapons and armors much faster than others, mainly people who do not have patience and consider that paying RL currency to get what they want, when they want in the Perfect World. This is the way that this game survives even after 4 years, this is the business model that is adopted by most FTP MMOs.

2. Farming instances.

Lately, there are very few instances that are worth farming, considering the time/coins ration that is associated with farming. Here are some of my favorites:

•   A. FlowSilver Palace. It takes 15-20min with a decently geared squad. You can take your alt too, and if you happen to have 3-4 alts that are rebirth to level 100, this instance can produce about 3.5 mil coins to 4.5 mil coins per character/20 minutes a day.  This is by far the best way of getting coins due to the fact that the market is hot for the C Card Packs that one gets as a reward for upgrading their cards. With a 40min to 50min time investment per day and 3 alts, you can easily make 16mil coins or more.
•   B. Nation War. I added this instance at the farming section even if it is a PVP event, because usually people go in with 2-3 characters to maximize the number of Supply Tokens they get. This instance can bring you between 150 supply tokens to 300 supply tokens per event which depending on the Seal of War price on each server can be between 10 and 20 million coins.
•   C. City of Abomination. Get the BH, get the orbs, make the ring, sell the ring 10-15mil.
•   D. Advanced Cube. Cost time and some money but making those cogs and reselling them is worth it. Even making the G14 cube necklaces and selling those can get you very nice profit.
•   E. Twilight Temple. Gold mats still sell, green mats sell too, OHT mats sell too. Spamable instance during 2x.
•   F. Lunar Valley.  Get Essences of Defense, lunar materials etc. Good to run on 2x. Takes time, good to run in 2 people with alts, this way the profit is bigger, you get badges for alts, you can craft for money once you have badges.
•   G. Warsong City. Good for people who sell crafting services. Essences of Offence sell good, you can spam it with good squad.
•   H. Dragon Temple. Good for free fashion to sell, decompose for random pigments and maybe some rare venomancer skills.
•   K. Abadon/Seat of Torment. Farm rare skills that sell for hundreds of milions(especially the assasin skills)
•   I. Delta. Farm for tome fragments, OHT mats, experience.

3. Do all the dailies

Besides experience, you get the chance to get nice rewards. Start with BH, then do Morai dailies for Prestige and Influence(can be monetized by selling Magic attack charms and Physical attack charms.) and the Primal World dailies. If you get really bored, there are OHT Maps dailies too.

4. Merchant.

How?

Buy low, sell high. Use a catshop, use the commission shop, use the auction house, use trade chat and world chat. Sell what you farmed, check the market, learn the trends and take advantage of the sales that PWI is having every other week.

Tips of what to merchant:

• A. Consumables: Tokens, Perfect stones, C Card packs, FS coins, pigments and dyes.
• B. Pack items: All of them, buy low sell high.
• c. Boutiq items: Packs, dragon orbs etc.
• D. Crafted T3 items, crafter cube necklaces, crafting services, rafining services etc
• E. Materials: TT, Lunar, OHT, etc.
• F. Apothecary and herbs
• G. Any other items that are a nishe market and you have low or no competition.

5. Botting

Yes, botting is allowed, we even have an ingame program to streamline it. Have your alts afk bot all day all night. Sell loot and repeat. You can get a couple of millions daily, even more if 2x is on.

6. Do PK.

Yeah, it might seem like it is a costly hobby but in the league of OP people and cashopers, PK can sometimes be highly profitable. One of my friends recently got a Emperor tome from one of his victims. Net profit…about 1.4-1.6 bil coins, give or take. It might never happen or it might. Bottom line is, if you never PK, you will never be in the situation to pick that loot first.

How to improve your money making techniques?

So simple: Get a budget for merchanting. Copy a catshop near you. Undercut them by a little as often as possible, take them out of business. Find a good place, with good traffic and put your catshop there. Ask your friends who merchant for advice too, it helps. Read the forums, use the forums. There are many smart people there who can help.

At the end of the day, it all depends on what are your ingame goals in terms of gear, how much time are you willing and able to invest in game to achieve those goals and if you do not have the time, what are the options that you have for charging Zen to make that path to your goals a smooth one.

Now, to end with, even if you do all the above perfectly, you need to focus on what NOT to do, learn from other people's experience so here we go, these are the things that could potentially harm your ingame finances, get you depressed, broke or even banned and I highly advise you not to do them:

• 1. Do not gamble. Do not gamble with packs, with dragon fire packs, with cube gifts boxes, etc. Why? Because the chances you would actually get a profit out of it at the end of the day are slim to none. Sadly PWI has a luck bases system in order to develop and feed this addiction in our personality. Unless you are prepared to be fully satisfied with the minimum rewards that those packs have.
• 2. Do not cheat. You endanger you account by doing that and PWE is not merciful with people who break T&C. Dont use bugs to create endless coins, dont duplicate items, dont buy ingame coins from third party websites with real money. Dont try to scam people. Just dont. You will create a bad experience for others and even if you consider yourself very smart, there are smarter people hired to keep the game running. All trades have logs, all chats, they can track your IP so if you dont play by the rules, the system will ban you, temporary or permanently.
• 3. Do not account share. You might think that some people are trust worthy, and maybe they are but…keep in mind, PWE does not support account sharing. If your account gets hacked and you lose ALL your items and coins, the chances are PWE could do nothing to retrieve them, if you shared your account information. What is yours is yours.
• 4. Do not put all your eggs in the same basket. What does that means? This means that if you started having a good time merchanting, you should constantly check the pulse of the market and improve and expand on different categories. Dont just invest all your coins in tokens for example, buying 30.000 tokens at 22k each then the market collapses due to an amazing sale of packs and boom, tokens go to 15k and your asset value decreases significantly. This has happened a couple of times in PWI, remember when there were countless shops on RT selling thousands of raptures and uncannies. Overnight, NW came and boom, many went bankrupted.
